ABSTRACT
This study analyzes the perceptions of students from the Faculty of Psychology and Sciences of Education regarding the role of professional practice, entrepreneurial competences, and knowledge about sustainable development in university training. The research was based on an online questionnaire completed by 340 students, whose answers were statistically analyzed across three dimensions: the self-assessed level of competences and knowledge, their importance for the future career, and their importance for everyday life. The results show that professional practice is the most strongly valued dimension, with 89.12% of respondents considering internships important to a large or very large extent for their future career. Nevertheless, the self-assessed level of practical competences is lower, indicating a gap between the level considered necessary and the level held by students. Entrepreneurial competences and knowledge about sustainable development are also considered relevant, but they are self-assessed at a more modest level. The comparative analysis highlights differences between students in Sciences of Education and Psychology, as well as between undergraduate and postgraduate students. The results support the need to strengthen practical training, develop entrepreneurial competences, and integrate sustainable development topics more explicitly into student training.
